7th blog

Well this is the seventh blog for me to be honest i have really been slacking on the blogs and i need to pick it up I just keep forgetting all about them. We were supposed to have classes and turn in our crime and punishment papers on Tuesday so we can get them peer edited: obviously since we had the storm sandy we did not meet and classes were canceled Monday and Tuesday, My paper was on the crime and punishment of smoking weed, just to let you know i do not smoke weed it was a promise and i do not like anything that can alter my behavior good or bad, but i figured it would be an interesting topic to write about since i know people who do. I was happy to hear that school was canceled Monday and Tuesday give me some time to do some school work, and get some other things out of the way. I finished up one of my bio quizzes for Bio 101 Lecture after i finished that i was all caught up because my paper was already done, so i ended up having some free time. I ended up leaving a friend waiting for an hour so i could drop some one else off which i really feel bad about, but i will make it up to them some way some how. Monday morning was pretty relaxed for me i got to sleep in and i did not have to worry about going to night class which i really hate going to. I was worried because i heard sirens going off all night, saw lights flashing in my window zooming down the street. I really hope where ever they were going that nobody got hurt, and im praying for all those people that did get hurt during the storm.

I have been slipping on the blogs like crazy so i definitely need to pick up the pace, and get back on schedule. Thanks to a awesome person who shall remain nameless she reminded me about the blogs so i decided to go ahead and do mine tonight. Its been a crazy night day and week in general, but it was crazy in a good way. I have been reading a lot more and for fun just because i like to read now, and this past week i have been studying like crazy to make sure i have good grades and all of that. Some friends of mine hung out this weekend it was a lot of fun mainly driving laughing and acting crazy. It turns out that no matter what we do it has to be perfectly planned out for my cousin if not he goes crazy and does not want to do anything anymore, but we dragged him all around just to piss him off. The plans were to go to busch gardens but my friend did not want to do that, so we said kings dominion or ashland berry farms again some people did not want to do that for one reason or another. After everyone kept saying no my friend finally told us he did not have any money on him it really put a damper on any of the plans we had, and would have saved us a lot of time with the arguing so we ended up going back to my house played some call of duty and once we got hungry we decided to go to panera, that would have been awesome but after getting there half of us decided they did not want panera and wanted to go a head and go to olive garden for some random reason that i have no idea about.

Well, we did not have class this week so my blog I guess will be on something other than English, maybe have my meeting in there, with some English here and there. To start out the week. Monday I had my Bio Lab I really enjoy that class because everything is hands on and that is the best way for me to learn. I have a lot of fun in my Bio Lab class I know some people in there and they are a lot of fun the professor reminds me of my cousin because he knows a million facts about everything, which keeps the class day interesting especially because its from 5:30 to 8:20. I actually went to the water garden in Richard Bland for the first time I convinced Kaylyn to give me the tour since I had never been, it was pretty interesting and I had alot of fun walking around by that little pond it was a beautiful day. I had my meeting with Sweeney on Thursday it was pretty cool we talked about what I was going to write my paper on, what kind of sources I was gonna use; he gave me some good ideas to use in my paper. It had seemed like I have not been in Mr. Sweeney's class for weeks even though its only been two days, I missed all of my fellow class mates. Friday was kind of wild i had to get things set up for my brothers arrival he was coming down for his birthday so i had to plan out somethings. Unfortunately most of my plans did not fall through but he said had fun had a good birthday so thats all that matters. I guess that concludes my blog for the week of September twenty fourth through the twenty eighth.

Third Week

This was the Third week of Mr. Sweenys  English class. As usual to wake us up we played some spargle which is always a good way to wake yourself up in the morning. If we did not have spargle in the beginning of class i would definitely not be awake enough for class so thank you Mr. Sweeny for spargle. For class we had to read two stories we were able to discuss felt sense but the other story did not work not sure why but it just did not work we could not access the hyperlink. Sweeny started to talk to us about logos ethos and pathos even though i have heard it before, i never had a teacher show where someone used logos pathos and ethos in a video now i think ethos logos and pathos are going to be stuck in my head for awhile. We had a class discussion on what to write about for our paper on pop culture we made a list that took up the whole board on pop culture topics. I will admit some did not fit but you had to make the large list first and then reduce it from there. It seemed we got stuck on Rap and Country music I like both country and rap a lot  maybe its because my grandfather listened to country my grandmother listened to ethiopian and my friends in Petersburg all listened to rap when i was a kid, so im pretty diverse in listening of music. There was suppost to be a Group for Grammar Schmammar for Thursday but i think we had such a good time arguing about rap and country that Sweeny decided to just leave it for next class. I am really enjoying English class with Mr. Sweeny it is the first year i could ever say i enjoyed going to English class.

Hello my name is Orlando McCoy James the Second. Just a heads up this will be random and all over the place so i apologize ahead of time. I am nineteen years old this is second year attending Richard Bland, i plan on leaving Richard Bland with a Associates in Science and attending VCU or Virginia Tech. My career goal is to become a mechanical engineer, because i was promised a job in Boars Head's engineering department if i majored in mechanical engineering. In all honesty my major and career choice has changed more times then i could remember and it feels good to finally know where i am headed or at least have a plan B. Time to skip the whole work thing and go right into school related talk. I have always hated English it is and always was my worst subject in school. Through high school and middle school my parents and teachers noticed i had excelled in science and math related subjects, and lets just say i did not like history or English throughout  middle and high school. So far in Mr. Sweeney's class i have had lots of fun and from what i can tell i wont hate English as much as before. I really enjoy the way Mr. Sweeney teaches his class with unethical and out of the box methods it has kept me on my toes and helped me so far get over my dislike for English. Like in the last two classes we had to decide on what three essays we should do, and in what order we should do them in. Sadly it could not just be a regular vote and get on with it the entire class had to agree on everything one hundred percent, which made it extremely difficult for everyone. That exercise ended up teaching us what techniques we should use in our argumentative papers, to be honest that was one of the coolest learning techniques i have ever seen in English it kind of made me excited to see what was next. I guess since i have passed my limit of three hundred words i feel like i can stop, and for the two girls who sit behind me or anybody who made it through this whole thing definitely leave a comment.
